Selected Works II: Allegorical Abstraction in Photography

Selected Works II gathers images that expand the narrative begun in the first collection.
Each photograph stands as both a culmination and a threshold, reflecting the evolution of my visual language.
Together they form a constellation of moments where abstraction, movement and allegory converge into new dialogues.

2 Lovers Watching The Alhambra captures an intimate moment framed by history. The couple, small against the monumental backdrop, embodies tenderness and human presence within the dreamlike atmosphere of the ancient palace.

The Glare That Consumes the Sun unfolds as a veil of blinding light, diminishing the sun itself. To the right, a more familiar sunset glows in yellow over vivid green vegetation, yet the whitish halo intrudes, overwhelming the scene and erasing its path

Fenced Magic Valley confronts the attempt to contain nature with a fragile barrier. The fence, already invaded by vegetation, becomes a symbol of futility — a reminder that no boundary can restrain the force of the natural world.

Abstract ICM fine art photograph of a misty landscape in soft pastel colours — a poetic work of Abstractionism by Héctor Morón Solís.
Foggy Horizon

In Foggy Horizon, I explore the silence that appears when form begins to fade.
The landscape no longer describes a place — it becomes a threshold,
a soft passage between matter and air, between memory and disappearance.

Urban Alignment shows human-like figures reduced to silhouettes, aligned by the rigid order of the city. They move along a path that seems to lead upward, toward the sky, yet the urban grid confines them — a vision of aspiration restrained by structure

Urban I introduces the mini-series Just Cars, where vehicles dominate the frame. In this first vision, the car is not only transport but presence — filling the urban space with weight and rhythm, while human traces fade into the background

“Almond Blossom Navy Sunk Under the Sea turns a sunlit almond tree into golden vision. Its branches glow like the silhouette of a ship resting beneath water, where light transforms nature into dream and illusion.

Abstract ICM photograph of a forest with tilted vertical lines, vibrant pink, green and blue tones, fine art impressionism by Héctor Morón
Vibrant Forest Tilt

In this work, the forest becomes pure rhythm — trees transformed into vibrant lines, blending warm earth tones with cool skies. A tilt of motion that turns nature into a living painting

Bell Tower III (Urban), abstract urban skyline with blue sky and orange horizon, ICM fine art photography by Héctor Morón
Bell Tower IV (Urban)

Bell Tower IV (Urban) is the expressionist counterpart to my bell tower explorations. The city vibrates in luminous motion, yet the tower remains as an anchor — a symbol of endurance within the chaos of night and light

Child and Penguin — allegorical fine art ICM photograph by Héctor Morón, a poetic encounter between innocence and imagination.
Child And Penguin

At first glance, “Child and Penguin” evokes a moment of innocence — a fragile encounter between play and wonder. Yet beneath its softness lies an allegory: the child as symbol of the uncorrupted gaze, and the penguin as a visitor from another world, both suspended in the same dreamlike space. The image speaks of empathy beyond species, of tenderness born from distance. It is not a document of reality, but a reflection on how imagination dissolves boundaries, allowing two separate worlds to coexist in one luminous breath.
