One-to-One Mentorships in ICM, Intentional Camera Movement and Creative Photography
Personalised online mentorships for photographers working with ICM photography, Intentional Camera Movement, long exposure, abstraction and creative image-making.
These mentorships are designed for artists who want to move beyond visual effects and develop a more intentional photographic practice: stronger technique, clearer meaning, more coherent editing, deeper authorial voice and more structured photographic projects.
The mentorship system is organised into three levels, depending on the type of support you need:
– focused one-week mentorships;
– a full 6-week artistic programme;
– advanced 2-month specialised mentorships.
All mentorships can be taken in English or Spanish. Written material, feedback, image analysis and communication can be provided in either language.
Choose Your Mentorship Path
Level 1 — Focused One-Week Mentorships
These short mentorships last one week and are designed for photographers who want a precise, intensive and personalised intervention without committing to a longer programme.
They are especially suitable if you already have images or a project in progress and need focused feedback, clarification or direction.
One-Week Project Review & Reformulation Mentorship
A focused one-week review for photographers who already have a project, series or group of related images and need help clarifying, reformulating or strengthening it.
This mentorship follows a structured project review protocol: project nucleus, visual direction, reality check, image selection, coherence, possible reformulation and next practical steps.
It is most suitable for photographers who:
– have a project or series in progress;
– feel unsure about what the project is really about;
– need help deciding which images belong and which do not;
– want to detect repetition, incoherence or missing elements;
– are preparing a submission, portfolio or small body of work;
– need a clear written orientation before continuing.
This is not a full project development programme. It is a concentrated review designed to help you understand where your project stands and how it could move forward.
One-Week Symbol, Meaning & Intentional Editing Mentorship
A focused one-week mentorship for photographers who want their images to carry stronger meaning, symbolic tension and emotional coherence through visual analysis and intentional editing.
This mentorship works with three of your own images. We examine what each image shows, what it suggests, where meaning becomes visible, and how editing can reinforce the image’s emotional, symbolic or narrative direction.
It is most suitable for photographers who:
– create visually interesting images but feel they need more meaning;
– want to understand what their images actually suggest;
– need help distinguishing between visual effect and deeper intention;
– want to explore symbol, metaphor and suggested narrative;
– feel their editing is attractive but not yet fully purposeful;
– want to learn how light, colour, contrast and atmosphere can reinforce meaning.
This is not a general photo review. It is a focused mentorship on how meaning becomes visible inside images and how editing can strengthen that direction.
Level 2 — Full Artistic Mentorship
One-to-One Mentorship in Allegorical Abstractionism
This is the central mentorship programme.
It lasts 6 weeks and is structured around 6 modules, with one module assigned to each week. The material remains accessible throughout the full 6-week period, so the participant can revisit or complete previous modules within the programme timeframe, but the mentorship itself has a defined duration of 6 weeks.
It is a structured one-to-one artistic process built around Allegorical Abstractionism: a photographic language where abstraction, symbolism, movement, light, colour, emotion and narrative intention come together.
The programme introduces the foundations of this language through six modules: Allegorical Abstractionism, Long Exposure Travelling ICM, Mediterranean Baroque and personal sensibility, symbol and intentional editing, authorial voice, and project construction.
It is most suitable for photographers who:
– want a complete artistic development process;
– already work with ICM, abstraction, long exposure or expressive photography;
– want to move beyond isolated images and attractive effects;
– need more structure, intention and coherence in their work;
– want to understand how images can become symbolic, emotional or narrative;
– are looking for a more personal and authorial photographic language.
This mentorship is the best entry point for photographers who want to work seriously over several weeks and develop a broader foundation before moving into specialised technical or project-based mentoring.
Level 3 — Advanced Specialised Mentorships
These are the most advanced and specialised mentorships.
Each Level 3 mentorship lasts approximately 2 months and focuses on a specific area of deeper development: either authorial voice and project construction, or Long Exposure Travelling ICM technique.
They may work as a continuation after the full mentorship, or as standalone specialised programmes for photographers who already have a clear need.
One-to-One Authorial Voice and Project Mentorship
A specialised mentorship for photographers who want to clarify their authorial voice and develop a more coherent photographic project.
This programme separates two essential stages: first, understanding the artist’s concerns, affinities, visual tendencies and personal direction; then translating that authorial identity into a structured project.
It is most suitable for photographers who:
– want to understand what is truly their own in their work;
– need help identifying recurring themes, symbols or visual concerns;
– have images but lack a clear artistic direction;
– want to build a project from an emerging authorial voice;
– need support with project nucleus, structure, rhythm, selection and written articulation;
– are preparing a serious body of work for presentation, submission or long-term development.
This mentorship is not only about making a project stronger. It is about understanding the artist behind the project, and helping the work become more personal, coherent and necessary.
One-to-One Long Exposure Travelling ICM Technical Intensive
A specialised technical mentorship focused entirely on Long Exposure Travelling ICM, my own approach to long-exposure movement-based photography.
Unlike conventional ICM techniques based on simple camera gestures from a fixed position, Long Exposure Travelling ICM works through physical displacement, body movement, timing, rhythm, trajectory, focus, distance and spatial progression during the exposure.
It is most suitable for photographers who:
– already understand basic ICM and want to go further;
– want more control, consistency and repeatability in movement-based photography;
– are interested in long exposure, travelling movement and spatial displacement;
– want to move beyond accidental blur or simple camera gestures;
– need a more technical and structured approach to ICM;
– want to understand how movement can become composition, rhythm and visual language.
This is not a general ICM course. It is a focused technical intensive for photographers who want to study Long Exposure Travelling ICM in greater depth and practise it with precision.

A Structured Path
These mentorships are designed as a flexible path.
You may begin with a one-week focused mentorship, continue later with the full 6-week programme, or enter directly into an advanced 2-month specialisation if your needs are already clear.
The common foundation is always the same: one-to-one guidance, careful image analysis, written feedback, intentional development and a belief that ICM, Intentional Camera Movement and abstract photography can become more than visual effect.
They can become language, structure, meaning and authorial vision.
